Who We Are

The Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit professional  society of over 16,000 members in 89 countries. The mission of AEE is “to promote the scientific and educational interests of those engaged in the energy industry and to foster action for Sustainable Development.”

The AEE is your source for information and networking in the dynamic fields of energy engineering and energy management, renewable and alternative energy, power generation, energy services, sustainability, and all related areas. Founded in 2013, AEE North Carolina Piedmont Chapter (AEE-NCPC) is the local chapter of the national Associates of Energy Engineers (AEE), covering the western part of North Carolina.

The Chapter presents education programs related to the energy industry, provides networking opportunities between a wide variety of industries, including building and associate industry professionals, educators, lawmakers, and the community, fosters cooperative action between its members and other industries and organizations, and supports scholarships.

Our work is made possible by funding from partnership and donations, national and individual memberships, program revenues and grants.

Why Support AEE NCPC?

With the diminishing amount of fossil fuels and the ever increasing cost of utilities, the need for energy engineers will be vital to a sustainable future.

AEE-NCPC partners are vital in helping us achieve our mission “to promote the scientific and educational interests of those engaged in the energy industry and to foster action for Sustainable Development”, in the Piedmont region. When you become a partner of AEE-NCPC you demonstrate your company’s leadership in shaping the energy industry to foster a more sustainable future for the region.

Your partnership also makes a public commitment to the Chapter’s work by providing program and operating support for all of the Chapter’s education programs, research activities, and scholarship opportunities. For more information about partnership opportunities, please click here.
